About the Role

United Pharmaceuticals Company (UPC), a leading retail pharmacy chain in Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join its team. This full-time position is based in the Makkah Region, with responsibilities spanning Jeddah and Makkah. The role focuses on enhancing internal controls and risk management across the organization.

Position Overview

The Senior Internal Auditor will lead and execute risk-based audits with a particular emphasis on IT systems, financial controls, and core business processes. This role requires a candidate with strong analytical capabilities and a comprehensive understanding of IT audit frameworks, financial control principles, and enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct risk-based audits as part of the Internal Audit Department's activities.
• Review IT systems, business applications, financial processes, and operational controls.
• Assess data integrity, system access controls, user privileges, and segregation of duties.
• Examine controls related to sales, discounts, returns, inventory, procurement, loyalty programs, and associated financial transactions.
• Identify control weaknesses, operational risks, and potential financial exposures.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and monitor the implementation of corrective action plans with management.
• Evaluate key business systems including ERP, POS, CRM, E-Commerce platforms, and mobile applications.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• CISA certification is required.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in Internal Audit, IT Audit, Risk Management, or Internal Controls.
• A strong financial background with a solid understanding of accounting controls.
• Experience within the Retail Industry is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in IT General Controls (ITGC), Cybersecurity Controls, Data Governance, User Access Management, and Segregation of Duties principles.
