About the Role

Salla is building the digital infrastructure for commerce in the region, enabling thousands of merchants to establish, expand, and scale their businesses. We transform complex processes into simple, powerful, and scalable solutions. Currently, over 100,000 merchants utilize Salla, facilitating over SAR 50 billion in Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV). Supporting this scale necessitates robust product systems across the entire commerce stack. We are seeking experienced Senior Product Leaders to assume ownership of one or more key product domains, based on individual expertise and alignment with business needs. These domains may include Merchant First Experience, Sales Channels, Storefronts, Catalog & Products, Payments, Marketplaces & Ecosystem, Inventory & Logistics, Enterprise Capabilities, and Ads & Growth Products. Each role involves end-to-end ownership of a major product domain or lifecycle, from strategic planning and prioritization through to execution and the achievement of measurable outcomes. This is a strategic leadership role focused on defining and driving product direction, not a feature delivery or coordination position.

Core Responsibilities

The Senior Product Leader will be accountable for:

  • Defining and owning the vision, strategy, and measurable outcomes for a significant product domain, lifecycle, or system.
  • Translating overarching company and business objectives into clear, prioritized product initiatives.
  • Leading and developing product managers and cross-functional teams comprising Product, Design, Engineering, and Data professionals.
  • Driving tangible impact across key metrics such as user activation, retention, revenue generation, operational efficiency, and scalability.
  • Making and clearly communicating difficult trade-offs within defined constraints.
  • Enhancing the product decision-making process, focusing on both the 'what' and the 'why' of product development.
  • Maintaining close proximity to users, data, and execution while scaling teams and systems.
  • Collaborating effectively across teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated merchant experience.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of product management experience, including demonstrated leadership roles with significant decision-making authority.
  • Proven track record of owning a product, system, or lifecycle from inception to completion.
  • Direct accountability for achieving measurable outcomes in areas such as activation, retention, revenue, efficiency, and scale.
  • Experience in leading senior product managers and cross-functional squads.
  • Strong systems thinking capabilities, with the ability to simplify complexity and design for scalability.
  • Demonstrated ability to make difficult trade-offs, including the capacity to pivot or halt initiatives.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous environments, moving with speed and clarity of purpose.
  • Ability to engage with details when necessary, while maintaining a strategic perspective.
  • A collaborative approach, connecting dots across teams and domains rather than focusing narrowly on a specific area.
  • Clear communication skills regarding the rationale behind decisions, not just the outcomes.
  • Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) and comfort operating within the Saudi/GCC market context.

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position located in Makkah, Makkah Province.
