About the Role

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Assistant Manager, Laundry & Linen to join our team in Al Jubayl, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is responsible for ensuring all linen and guest items meet our established quality standards through meticulous washing, drying, and folding processes. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining operational excellence within the laundry department. This role is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Sorting laundry based on color, material, and level of soiling.
• Inspecting all laundry and linen for damage or stains, accurately recording any items that do not meet quality standards.
• Operating washers and dryers efficiently, adhering to recommended capacity and manufacturer guidelines.
• Adding appropriate chemicals in correct quantities for each wash cycle.
• Folding and storing clean linen, and operating specialized machinery including the linen feeder, sheet folder, towel folder, and table linen ironing machines.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role requiring candidates to be on their feet for most of the day. The position involves frequent lifting or carrying of items weighing up to 75 pounds and pushing or pulling approximately 400 pounds. Activities may also require bending, stooping, and kneeling. The work environment frequently involves areas of high temperatures and working around heavy equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to read and write effectively.
• Basic mathematical skills for determining chemical quantities and logging poundage.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Effective time management abilities.
