About the Occupational Health Safety & Environment Lead Role

Tecnicas Reunidas Saudi Arabia is seeking an Occupational Health Safety & Environment Lead for a contract position based in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This role is exclusively open to Saudi nationals in alignment with Saudization requirements.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Occupational Health Safety & Environment Lead will be responsible for implementing and managing the Corporate HSE Management System and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) activities within Tecnicas Reunidas KSA offices. This includes ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, group standards, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements, ADNOC requirements, and applicable local regulations. The role involves maintaining documented information, monitoring HSE objectives and performance indicators, and ensuring periodic reporting and continuous improvement actions.

  • Ensure the creation, maintenance, control, and traceability of documented information required by the HSE Management System.
  • Monitor and follow up on HSE objectives, targets, risks, opportunities, and performance indicators.
  • Identify, evaluate, and monitor compliance with applicable HSE legal and regulatory requirements, including ARAMCO and KSA regulations.
  • Prepare the annual Management Review Report, consolidating performance data, objectives, initiatives, incidents, audits, and improvement actions.
  • Support internal and external audits related to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ARAMCO requirements.
  • Develop Occupational Health and Safety activities, including training, medical surveillance, prevention activities, emergency preparedness, and maintenance of emergency equipment.
  • Conduct periodic inspections to ensure compliance with ISO standards.
  • Coordinate the analysis of HSE data to ensure the implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with HR - General Services and other support departments to monitor environmental performance indicators.
  • Promote HSE awareness and a continuous improvement HSE culture through communication, training, and participation initiatives.
  • Promote Wellbeing activities across KSA offices.
  • Propose mechanisms for simplifying and optimizing HSE-related processes.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a Bachelor in Science or Engineering Degree. A minimum qualification includes certification by a recognized organization in Occupational HS Management Systems, compliant with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards, and holding NEBOSH certification.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering.
  • Certification in Occupational HS Management Systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001) and NEBOSH.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the implementation of HSE Management Systems according to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
  • Experience working for Engineering and Construction companies is required.

Work Location and Type

This is a contract position located in Al Khobar, within the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia.
