About the Sales Manager Role

Kempinski Hotels is seeking a Sales Manager to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on achieving hotel revenue targets through strategic account management and new client acquisition.

Role Objectives and Market Focus

The primary objective of this role is to optimize hotel revenues by managing an assigned base of accounts and actively prospecting for new clients within designated markets. These markets may be adjusted based on the hotel's evolving needs. Performance will be primarily measured against established revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage key accounts within an assigned base or geographic area to maximize revenue, achieve personal targets, and increase market share against competitors.
  • Prospect and secure new accounts.
  • Oversee all segments within assigned geographical markets, which may include, but are not limited to, European markets.
  • Conduct site inspections for potential clients.
  • Adhere to Corporate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Follow up on tentative bookings in assigned markets.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of the competitor set.
  • Possess detailed knowledge of all hotel services and relevant hotel facts and figures.
  • Ensure timely contracting from the client base managed.
  • Implement SMART contracting strategies to ensure optimal yielding during annual rate negotiations.
  • Attend trade shows, sales blitzes, workshops, and other industry events in assigned markets.
  • Assist the Director of Sales / Director of Sales & Marketing in defining and executing the annual sales action plan.
  • Support the Director of Sales / Director of Sales & Marketing with annual budget preparation by providing statistics and forecasts of account production.
  • Execute sales actions within the established cost budget structure.
  • Document all sales actions in SFA (S&C).
  • Maintain and update the OPERA contact database.
  • Cross-sell other Kempinski Hotels.
  • Understand and follow the Company Sales Vision.
  • Participate in the Duty Manager rota.
  • Understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations in the Employees Handbook and the Hotel’s policies on Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety.
  • Ensure all potential and real hazards are reported and rectified immediately.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned according to business and hotel needs.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in sales, preferably within the hospitality industry. A thorough understanding of sales strategies, account management, and market analysis is essential.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. The role involves direct client interaction, travel for events, and collaboration with hotel management and sales teams.
