About the Role

Role Overview

As a Senior External Auditor, you will play a key role in audit engagements, supporting clients in meeting their financial reporting requirements and providing insights into accounting and reporting matters. You will work collaboratively within audit teams, manage client relationships, and contribute to the firm's growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in audit engagements, functioning effectively as a team member.
• Share responsibility, provide support, and maintain communication with senior team members, updating them on progress.
• Assist in preparing for and participating in meetings with client management teams.
• Help prepare reports and schedules for clients and other stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel.
• Establish internal and external relationships and identify potential business opportunities for EY.
• Contribute to people initiatives, including recruiting and retaining assurance professionals.
• Anticipate and identify risks, escalating issues as appropriate.
• Ensure the quality of work delivered to clients is maintained and reviewed by the next-level reviewer.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A strong academic record, including a degree.
• A minimum of four years of professional experience in external audit.
• Ideally, a degree or professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA.
• Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is advantageous.
