About EagleBurgmann and the Service Engineer Role

EagleBurgmann is a leading international specialist in industrial sealing technology, dedicated to creating sophisticated and reliable sealing systems through innovative technologies and digital solutions. We are seeking a Service Engineer to join our team in the Eastern region, covering Al Khobar and Dammam. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of proven experience in the field.

Role Purpose

The Service Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of mechanical seals and related equipment for our clients. This position involves providing comprehensive technical support, from installation and maintenance to troubleshooting and customer training, contributing to safer and more sustainable industrial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Commissioning: Install and set up mechanical seals in various industrial systems, including pumps, compressors, agitators, and other rotating equipment. Ensure correct installation and optimal functioning, complying with safety and performance standards.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Conduct routine and preventive maintenance services for mechanical seals. Identify and troubleshoot failures such as leakage, wear, and improper functioning, providing effective solutions. Repair and replace worn or damaged mechanical seals to restore equipment operation.
• Technical Support & Consulting: Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients, offering advice on seal selection, installation, and troubleshooting. Help customers optimize sealing system performance by recommending suitable maintenance practices and solutions. Troubleshoot complex technical issues, analyze root causes, and provide detailed corrective actions.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed service records, including installation, maintenance, repairs, and technical support. Provide regular reports on service activities, recommending necessary upgrades or improvements. Document issues, solutions, and performance data to track product reliability and customer feedback.
• Customer Training: Train customers in the proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical seals and related systems to reduce failures and minimize downtime. Assist customers in understanding the importance of correct seal maintenance and its impact on operational efficiency.
• Collaboration: Work closely with sales teams to provide technical insights and assist in product selection for customers. Collaborate with the engineering team to offer feedback on product performance and potential design improvements.
• Continuous Learning & Improvement: Stay updated with the latest developments and technologies in the mechanical seals industry. Continuously improve knowledge of best practices, new materials, and innovations related to sealing technology.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience of 5-10 years as a Service Engineer, Field Service Technician, or in a similar technical role, with a focus on mechanical seals or rotating equipment.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical seals, seal support systems, and related machinery.
• Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical seal issues, including leakage, wear, and misalignment.
• Familiarity with industrial equipment such as pumps, compressors, mixers, and agitators.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites for installations, service visits, and troubleshooting.
