About the Role

FLSmidth is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role involves handling aftermarket site services and mechanical site installations for core FLSmidth equipment and similar non-FLSmidth equipment within the mining industry. The position requires 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety protocols, including undergoing safety induction and medical tests as required for specific sites.
• Follow safety standards and practices of both FLSmidth and the client at the site.
• Conduct safety inspections and understand site conditions prior to commencing activities.
• Coordinate with clients and site personnel to obtain necessary gate passes and work permits.
• Understand the scope of work, activity schedules, and requirements for manpower, tools, and tackles for shutdown activities or new installations.
• Ensure assigned jobs are completed in accordance with instruction manuals, drawings, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Independently or jointly supervise site jobs performed by mechanical contractors.
• Prepare reports and protocols, including no-load and load trial protocols, commissioning reports, and performance test reports.
• Coordinate with customers, consultants, and various FLSmidth functions for safe and proper site execution.
• Support experienced service managers on site activities.
• Work extended hours at site as needed to meet demands.
• Document all site activities in Minutes of Meeting and obtain client signatures.
• Collaborate with GPLM/RPLM of Communition products to resolve site-related product issues.
• Collaborate with clients to identify business potential and generate leads for aftermarket business.
• Support all service business activities while in the office.

Equipment Focus

This role involves working with a range of equipment, including those related to Hydromet & Pyromet processes in the mining industry. Specific equipment includes:

• Thickeners
• Flotation equipment
• Automatic Filter Presses
• Horizontal Belt Filters
• Kilns (2, 3, and 4 support types)
• Dryers
• Granulators
• Coolers
• Coaters (all types of rotary drums)

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience is required for this position.
