About the Role

Datamatics Technologies is seeking a BI Developer/Consultant to join our team in Dammam, Eastern region. This is a full-time, on-site position in KSA, requiring proficiency in Arabic. The role involves building end-to-end BI solutions and acting as a consultant to business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop BI solutions from data modeling through visualization to deployment.
• Utilize major BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik, demonstrating expert-level proficiency in at least one.
• Apply strong SQL skills for query optimization, stored procedures, and complex joins.
• Design and implement data models, including star schema and dimensional modeling.
• Build and troubleshoot ETL/ELT data pipelines that feed BI layers.
• Gather requirements directly from business stakeholders and translate them into effective dashboards and reports.
• Demonstrate proficiency in DAX or equivalent calculation languages, particularly if Power BI-centric.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 4-6+ years of experience in building end-to-end BI solutions.
• Strong hands-on skills in a major BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik), with expert-level proficiency in at least one.
• Demonstrated strong SQL skills, including query optimization, stored procedures, and complex joins.
• Proven data modeling experience (star schema, dimensional modeling).
• Experience with ETL/ELT, including building and troubleshooting data pipelines.
• Ability to gather requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into dashboards/reports.
• Proficiency in DAX or equivalent calculation language (if Power BI-centric).

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar unified analytics platforms.
• Exposure to Python or R for advanced analytics feeding into BI layers.
• Experience presenting to executive/C-level audiences.
• Domain experience in operations, logistics, parking, or municipal data.
• Familiarity with data governance and row-level security implementation.
• Prior consulting background, including client-facing engagements, scoping, and stakeholder management.

Work Environment

This is an on-site, full-time position based in Dammam, KSA. The role requires strong communication skills, particularly in Arabic, to effectively engage with local stakeholders.
