About the Role

Aventus is seeking a Cyber Simulation Exercises Scenario Developer for a contract position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves designing, developing, and delivering realistic cybersecurity simulation exercises, including Threat Hunting Events, Live Fire Exercises, and Capture the Flag (CTF) scenarios. The objective is to enhance organizational cyber readiness through engaging and measurable simulation activities.

Role Responsibilities

The Cyber Simulation Exercises Scenario Developer will be responsible for the full lifecycle of cyber simulation exercises, from initial design to post-exercise reporting. This includes creating detailed scenarios and ensuring the technical environments support realistic engagement.

• Design and develop end-to-end cyber simulation exercises that align with cybersecurity capability-building objectives.
• Create realistic scenarios, exercise injects, training materials, and supporting artifacts such as emails, logs, alerts, and threat intelligence reports.
• Build, configure, and maintain cyber range lab environments, including networks, servers, endpoints, and security tools.
• Orchestrate exercise execution through automated and event-driven injects to ensure realistic participant engagement.
• Support exercise delivery, including troubleshooting, facilitation, and performance assessment.
• Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), scoring models, and post-exercise reporting to drive continuous improvement.
