Involved Solutions is partnering with a large, established family conglomerate in Saudi Arabia to recruit a Data Engineer. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires 5-10 years of experience. The role involves working within an organization that processes data across a diverse portfolio of businesses, necessitating robust data infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will focus on ensuring reliability, maintaining high data quality, and building dependable data pipelines that support the entire organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that move, transform, and serve data across multiple business units within the Group.
• Own the development and evolution of the data platform, working across batch and streaming environments to ensure reliability and performance at scale.
• Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and AI engineers to ensure clean, well-structured data is available where and when it is needed.
• Implement data quality frameworks, testing practices, and observability tooling that keep pipelines trustworthy in production.
• Contribute to data modeling and architecture decisions, ensuring the platform scales with the growth and complexity of the business.
• Support the Group's AI and ML agenda by designing data infrastructure that feeds model training, feature engineering, and inference pipelines.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of professional experience in a relevant data engineering role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, coupled with a solid understanding of software engineering principles applied to data.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Proven experience building and maintaining both batch and streaming pipelines using frameworks like Apache Spark, Kafka, or Airflow.
• Familiarity with dbt or equivalent transformation tooling and modern data stack practices.
