About the Role

GH Engage is seeking an Electrical Superintendent for a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves overseeing electrical construction activities and ensuring project delivery aligns with established standards. Comprehensive relocation assistance, including commencement flights, accommodation, car, insurance, and visa costs, will be provided to the successful candidate.

Role Overview

The Electrical Superintendent reports directly to the Construction Manager and is responsible for the effective management and coordination of assigned electrical construction activities. This position ensures adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations, while also managing subcontractor performance and site logistics to achieve project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Directly report to the Construction Manager and assist with temporary site setups as assigned.
• Provide input, review, and manage labor forecasts to ensure practical manpower for assigned works.
• Notify the Construction Manager of any impediments to planned works, such as access issues, material shortages, or equipment problems.
• Track and report subcontractor performance and any obstacles affecting their work.
• Maintain a daily log of job site activities from the 2-week lookahead program to track progress and issue updates.
• Ensure all materials issued from stores are correctly documented, in correct quantities, and excess materials are booked back.
• Coordinate daily with the client’s construction discipline team to ensure all planned works are aligned.
• Ensure work fronts and job sites are organized and clean, including waste disposal and environmental protection, escalating issues as needed.
• Manage assigned construction activities per scope allocation and coordinate with stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
• Verify that all site documentation is the latest revision and stamped "Issued for Construction," removing outdated documents in coordination with QA/QC.
• Escalate any construction design or execution issues to the Construction Manager for further action.
• Track site progress, provide updates to the Construction Manager, and identify any risks to the schedule.
• Coordinate any material take-off top-ups with the Construction Manager.
• Provide site work front supervision and coordination of assigned construction subcontractors to ensure packages meet JEG and project standards.
• Liaise and coordinate builders’ work requirements with site Construction stakeholders and the BIM Team.
• Ensure adherence to all EHS and QA/QC requirements, and ensure subordinate teams and subcontractors comply.
• Complete inspections for assigned work fronts with the QA/QC Team to ensure client representative site installation inspections are approved to Code A.
• Attend Construction Team meetings as required by the Construction Manager.
• Provide input to the Project Change Management process via the Construction Manager.
• Ensure that HSE requirements are observed in the execution of all construction activities.
• Ensure all assigned subordinates and subcontractors adhere to site timekeeping protocols and escalate any issues or deviations.
• Ensure awareness and compliance with the QSPs located and maintained in the JEG Group Quality Library.
• Provide a working environment that develops a highly productive, adaptive, motivated, and creative team.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of work experience on construction projects.
• Possession of a mechanical background.
• A time-served apprenticeship is considered an advantage.
• Experience in Data Centre Projects is an advantage.

Essential Skills

• Competency in the use of PC applications, including the Microsoft Office suite or equivalent.
