Key Logistics Manager

About the Role

Airbus is seeking a Key Logistics Manager for a contract position in Riyadh. This role involves managing various logistics activities, ensuring operational performance, compliance, and alignment with internal and external stakeholders. The manager will be responsible for overseeing physical logistics, contract compliance with logistics providers, central contract management, and adherence to regulatory and safety obligations.

Physical Logistics Management

The Key Logistics Manager will ensure the effective performance and continuous improvement of physical logistics operations. This includes implementing and controlling key performance indicators (KPIs) related to performance, cost, quality, and environmental standards. The role also involves driving issue resolution and proposing local improvement initiatives.

• Ensure physical logistics management performance and improvement control.
• Implement and control KPIs across performance, cost, quality, and environment.
• Ensure the application of Airbus Logistics solutions, processes, rules, and policies.
• Drive issue resolution through a quick and simple alert/escalation process.
• Propose and drive local, non-disruptive, and short-term improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to End-To-End Logistics Solutions optimization and surface optimization.
• Secure the right quality and quantity of standard distribution means.
• Contribute to infrastructure evolution and surface management.
• Assess logistics impacts in case of short and medium-term planning changes.

Logistics Provider Contract and Central Contract Management

This position involves ensuring compliance with contracts by both the logistics provider and Airbus, managing budgets, and identifying savings. The manager will also handle central contract specificities, focusing on harmonized governance and supporting operations in contract management.

• Ensure correct contract application by the provider and Airbus, respecting budget and achieving savings.
• Create, challenge, and validate operational scope change requests, work specifications, ad-hoc service requests, and claims.
• Contribute to scope change requests within projects.
• Perform technical negotiation on unit prices, volumes, and forecasts.
• Ensure and facilitate harmonized and agile contract governance for timely, quality, and cost-effective service delivery.
• Develop and deploy ways of working and training to support operations in contract management.
• Calculate and monitor logistics budgets in interface with Finance.
• Support procurement and operations on contract mechanism implementation and monitoring.

Alignment of Logistics Operations

The role requires ensuring that logistics operations are aligned with internal stakeholders' processes and requirements to maintain logistics performance. This includes implementing and monitoring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and managing risks.

• Ensure alignment of logistics operations with internal stakeholders' processes and requirements to secure logistics performance.
• Implement and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal stakeholders.
• Anticipate, understand, and challenge internal stakeholders’ requests, ensuring implementation of changes.
• Ensure risk management with internal stakeholders and Logistics Providers, performing root cause analysis and managing mitigation plans.

Compliance and Safety Obligations

The Key Logistics Manager is accountable for all aspects related to Airworthiness Authorities, Quality, Environment, Health & Safety, and Dangerous Goods concerning logistics business execution. This includes contributing to corporate audits and industrial maturity.
