About the Role

Accenture Middle East is seeking a PMO & Portfolio Management Consultant to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves supporting the planning, governance, coordination, and reporting of multiple security-related projects for a major banking client in Saudi Arabia. The position requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on establishing and operating effective project and portfolio management practices within a complex environment.

Role Responsibilities

The consultant will be responsible for establishing and enhancing PMO processes, templates, and reporting mechanisms. Key duties include maintaining project plans, integrated master schedules, RAID logs, and action trackers. The role involves monitoring project progress against scope, timeline, cost, and quality, and supporting project managers in maintaining consistent project management discipline. Ensuring project documentation is complete, structured, and aligned with client and Accenture expectations is also a core function. The consultant will prepare materials for steering committees, working groups, and executive updates.

Portfolio Management and Governance

This role includes supporting the management of a portfolio of security-related projects by maintaining a consolidated view of project status, priorities, timelines, dependencies, risks, issues, budgets, and key decisions. The consultant will develop and maintain portfolio dashboards, executive reports, and management updates for client leadership and Accenture stakeholders. Tracking portfolio performance against agreed objectives, identifying cross-project dependencies and risks, and supporting portfolio prioritization discussions are essential. Ensuring portfolio governance forums are properly structured and supported with accurate materials is also a key responsibility.

Stakeholder, Vendor, and Risk Coordination

Coordination with a wide range of stakeholders, including client representatives, Accenture teams, third-party vendors, technology, risk, compliance teams, and business representatives, is critical. The consultant will facilitate follow-ups on actions, decisions, and dependencies across multiple parties, and support meeting preparation and action tracking. Resolving coordination gaps and escalating unresolved issues through appropriate governance channels will be required. Maintaining a professional consulting presence with senior stakeholders in a banking environment is expected.

Reporting and Executive Communication

The role involves preparing clear, concise, and executive-ready reports on portfolio health, project progress, key risks, issues, and required decisions. Developing dashboards and presentation materials using tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, or Power BI is a key requirement. The consultant will translate complex project information into structured management insights and support leadership briefings and client governance presentations. Reporting must be fact-based, consistent, and aligned with agreed PMO standards.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should possess 3 to 7 years of experience in project management, PMO, portfolio management, program coordination, or management consulting. Experience in banking, financial services, technology transformation, risk, compliance, operations, or security-related programs is preferred. Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, governance, reporting, planning, risk management, issue management, and stakeholder coordination is required. The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced client environment and strong experience preparing executive-level reports, dashboards, and presentations are essential. Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills are necessary, along with the ability to create structured dashboards and reports. Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus.
