The Role: Retail Manager, Guess

Chalhoub Group is seeking a Retail Manager for the Guess brand to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position focused on maximizing the commercial performance of retail shops and ensuring an exceptional Guest Experience. The Retail Manager acts as a crucial link between back-office operations and the network of stores, conducting continuous control and audits to implement corrective solutions and actions.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and cascade the brand strategy throughout the assigned network.
• Collaborate with Marketing to ensure full implementation of marketing and CX strategies and programs.
• Implement Brand guidelines, adapting for specific market requirements.
• Agree on a yearly sales calendar with the commercial team.
• Control discounts and margins to maintain consistent business profitability.
• Periodically follow up on sales figures per line and current stock (Sell-Out).
• Manage potential shortages, review orders, and inform the merchandising team.
• Record, monitor, and analyze market trends and competitor activities.
• Provide commercial teams with quantitative and qualitative reports using data from market studies and in-house systems.
• Define sales targets for each sales team member.
• Manage the Profit & Loss (P&L) for the assigned brand.
• Monitor brand performance and provide recommendations.
• Manage organizational resources within budget guidelines.
• Provide prompt, thorough, and accurate information to management regarding the brand's financial position.
• Develop and motivate team members to ensure knowledge transfer and a positive work environment.
• Monitor team performance and provide formal and informal feedback and appraisals to maximize efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following:

• 5-10 years of experience leading a Flagship Retail store or multiple retail stores within the fashion retail sector.
• Currently based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
• The role is based in KSA and requires travel across the region.
