Senior Legal Counsel Contracting

About the Role

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel - Contracting to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time role involves leading legal support for contracting activities across various projects and operations within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial, construction, procurement, infrastructure, transportation, consultancy, and service contracts.
• Provide strategic and practical legal advice to senior leadership and internal stakeholders on contractual obligations, commercial risks, claims, and major project matters.
• Support projects throughout the contracting lifecycle, from procurement and contract development through execution, administration, and closeout.
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks, including variations, performance issues, claims, and potential disputes.
• Ensure contracts comply with applicable Saudi laws, internal policies, governance requirements, and delegation of authority.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Development, Finance, and other business functions to provide timely legal support for key projects and transactions.
• Manage external legal counsel and ensure the quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of legal services.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, legal guidance, processes, and contracting best practices.
• Lead, mentor, and develop members of the Legal Contracting team while promoting knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a dynamic legal team supporting large-scale projects.
