About the Senior Manager - Development Audit Role

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Senior Manager - Development Audit to lead and manage the audit function for its development projects. This role is based in Riyadh Province, Saudi Arabia, and involves ensuring adherence to corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. The position is full-time and requires 5-10 years of experience.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Senior Manager will be responsible for executing comprehensive audit plans, driving internal control assessments, and providing strategic recommendations to enhance governance and risk management across development projects. This involves working closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to strengthen the control environment and support Qiddiya’s development objectives.

• Plan and execute risk-based audits for capital project activities.
• Review governance, processes, and control environments for development functions, including design and delivery.
• Examine cost-related practices and financial controls within capital projects.
• Evaluate alignment with approved policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
• Identify key risks and formulate clear audit observations and recommendations.
• Engage with relevant stakeholders to facilitate audit execution and follow-up.
• Contribute to the improvement of audit methodologies, tools, and practices.
• Support audit planning, risk assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with capability building and knowledge sharing within the Internal Audit department.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Governance, Project Management, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA or CIA are highly preferred. A minimum of 8 years of relevant audit experience is required, preferably within large-scale development or construction projects, encompassing capital projects, consulting, or advisory roles. A strong understanding of project governance, delivery, and cost management is essential. Professional certifications like PMP or PMI-RMP are preferred.

Required Skills and Competencies

Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing audit teams are necessary. The role also requires excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex project environment is crucial for success in this position.
