About GCC Olayan and the Specialist Service Role

GCC Olayan is seeking a Specialist Service to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to managing and optimizing workshop operations, ensuring high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction within an assigned division or brand.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to plan and lead direct workshop activities. The Specialist Service is responsible for effectively managing the Workshop Business Process to consistently meet and exceed customer needs and expectations.

Operational Planning and Resource Management

• Plan scheduled work and resources, considering the knowledge and skills of available technicians.
• Establish routines to ensure the availability of tools, special equipment, and parts.
• Verify the availability of special equipment and replace damaged tools as needed.
• Secure the necessary workshop infrastructure to carry out work efficiently.
• Set routines for easily identifying deviations, monitor processes, and implement improvements when necessary.
• Define the content and agenda for daily planning and steering meetings, and lead these sessions.
• Propose improvements for the workshop's service offerings, including local campaigns and the overall service portfolio.
• Monitor and maintain standards and routines for workshop cleanliness and tidiness.
• Monitor workshop effectiveness by following up on stampings and other key metrics.

Team Leadership and Quality Assurance

• Select the appropriate technician for each job, provide clear instructions and directions, and discuss problems or jobs to identify the best solution for the customer.
• Establish and follow up on routines for identifying additional jobs.
• Re-plan workshop operations to accommodate any additional jobs during ongoing work.
• Identify, suggest, and decide if additional work is required, informing Service Advisors accordingly.
• Set and follow up on routines to easily spot deviations in delivery time.
• Establish routines for "acting in real time" (*, re-work, warranty matters) and fostering continuous improvement.
• Advise and support technicians in their work, ensuring they use proper skills, equipment, procedures, and tools.
• Perform quality control of completed work by reviewing the job card with the technician.
• Conduct the final quality check before handing over the vehicle to the customer.
• Supervise staff, including monitoring timekeeping and productivity.
• Allocate tasks and responsibilities effectively within action plans.

Required Experience

Candidates for the Specialist Service position should possess 3-5 years of relevant experience in workshop management or a similar service-oriented leadership role.
