About the Role

Apparel Group is seeking a Steward to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position with a requirement of 0-1 years of experience. The Steward will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and surrounding areas, adhering to health and hygiene regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assigned duties according to cleaning schedules and company procedures.
• Collect necessary cleaning materials and equipment from the Supervisor.
• Conduct daily checks on equipment to ensure good working condition and report any defects or malfunctions promptly to a Supervisor or senior staff member.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of service areas for special functions.
• Clean kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, grills, and refrigerators using appropriate cleaning solutions and tools.
• Wash utensils, including pots, pans, and trays, by hand using cleaning detergents. Wash dishware, glasses, and cutlery by hand or machine. Occasionally polish utensils. Ensure items are drained, dried, and stacked after washing.
• Transport food supplies from storerooms or freezers to the kitchen using a trolley or basket. Return surplus food to storage.
• May assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as blending soups or washing and peeling vegetables and shellfish.

Health, Safety, and Hygiene Standards

Maintain the required operational hygiene standards at all times, in accordance with cleaning rotas. Be aware of and ensure adherence to restaurant policies and procedures related to health, hygiene, and fire life safety. Familiarize yourself with emergency exits and evacuation procedures.

General Conduct and Compliance

Comply with the company's corporate code of conduct. Familiarize yourself with company values and model desired behaviors. Perform tasks as directed by management to support the achievement of business goals.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Saudi Arabia. The role requires adherence to strict health and hygiene regulations within a kitchen environment.
