Join AiElements as a Senior Data Engineer (Informatica EDC)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer (Informatica EDC) to support our team. This role is key to enhancing the organization’s data governance and management capabilities by implementing, operating, and optimizing Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) and related tools in line with NDMO standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• EDC Implementation & Operation:
  • Lead the technical renewal, deployment, and administration of Informatica EDC.
  • Connect and maintain integrations with a wide range of internal data sources.
  • Deploy and configure the solution in an on-premise environment ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Monitor system performance and optimize resource allocation.
• Data Governance & Compliance:
  • Manage and maintain metadata cataloging across enterprise systems.
  • Enforce NDMO-aligned data protection, governance, and cybersecurity policies within the EDC environment.
  • Collaborate with data privacy teams to configure and integrate Informatica Data Privacy features.
• System Integration & Documentation:
  • Integrate EDC with other Informatica tools including Axon, IDQ, and PowerCenter.
  • Develop comprehensive technical documentation: solution design, operating manuals, and user guides.
  • Implement user access control and authentication via LDAP/Active Directory, and manage role-based access.
• Support & Enablement:
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and technical support for the EDC platform throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in awareness and enablement campaigns to drive adoption across departments.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 3 focused on data cataloging and governance.
• Proven expertise in Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC).
• Hands-on experience with Axon, IDQ, and PowerCenter.
• Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases (SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop).
• Proficient in handling structured and semi-structured data (CSV, JSON, XML).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in deploying and managing on-premise enterprise data solutions.
• Familiarity with NDMO data governance frameworks.
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will work on designing and developing data governance, quality, and optimizing data pipelines that support data integration and transformation across hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of enterprise Data Governance frameworks.
• Identify and prioritize business use cases by engaging with stakeholders across multiple sectors.
• Implement data governance policies, controls, and privacy rules.
• Utilize Informatica IDMC to manage metadata, data lineage, and data quality processes.
• Work closely with data stewards and architects to ensure data is discoverable and secure.
• Troubleshoot and optimize workflows for performance.
• Develop documentation for data assets and governance processes.
• Support change management to promote a data governance culture.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or ETL development using Informatica.
• Strong knowledge of Informatica IDMC.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to Informatica IDMC, Axon, and MDM tools.
• Experience in banking or regulated sectors within Saudi Arabia.
