CANCER CARE NURSE

About the Role

Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) is seeking a Cancer Care Nurse 3 to provide advanced-level nursing care within an assigned unit in Dhahran. This full-time role focuses on maintaining high standards of patient care, resolving complex clinical issues, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient care delivery.

Strategic Contributions

The Cancer Care Nurse 3 contributes to strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing nursing practices and operational efficiency. This involves active participation in developing protocols to improve patient safety and supporting the empowerment of nurses through the JHAH nursing Professional Practice Model.

• Participate in developing protocols and processes to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency.
• Support high staff engagement and patient experience.
• Work to achieve and sustain high quality of care and patient safety standards.
• Support the empowerment of nurses through the JHAH nursing Professional Practice Model.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves delivering high-quality nursing care, particularly for complex cases, and managing workflow to ensure proper resource utilization. The nurse will also mentor junior staff and ensure adherence to clinical protocols.

• Deliver high-quality nursing care services, with a focus on complex cases.
• Assist in managing workflow, ensuring proper resource utilization, and providing mentorship to junior nurses.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and participate in the evaluation of patient outcomes.
• Achieve and/or maintain the mandated activities for level 3, requiring a minimum of 20 points in at least four categories within each 12-month cycle as outlined in the Clinical Advancement Program.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care from admission through discharge, specific to the patient's age.
• Provide nursing care and patient/family education consistent with the plan of care and patient needs, respecting privacy, dignity, personal preference, and culture.
• Precept new hires and trainees during their probation training period and provide recommendations regarding their progress and training needs.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency and lifesaving situations using clinical skills, critical thinking, and evidence-based practices.
• Perform a wide range of nursing procedures with attention to accuracy, patient safety, and comfort, maintaining a safe and organized environment.
• Manage patients requiring invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring, including close monitoring and assessments of treatment and care coordination.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for this position should possess 4 years of relevant experience in nursing, demonstrating proficiency in advanced patient care and clinical problem-solving.
