About the Role
Hyatt Place AlUla is seeking an experienced Restaurant Team Leader to support its opening. This full-time position is based in Al Ula and will play a key role in the Food & Beverage department.
Context of Hyatt Place AlUla
Hyatt Place AlUla is a new development featuring 215 guestrooms, two food and beverage outlets, meeting spaces, a swimming pool, and a fitness center. The hotel aims to cater to both leisure and business travelers, marking a significant expansion for Hyatt in the region.
Responsibilities of the Team Leader
As the Team Leader for Main Restaurant Service, your primary function is to support daily restaurant operations. This involves supervising the service team, ensuring the smooth execution of daily service, upholding high standards of guest satisfaction, and contributing to a consistent and memorable dining experience.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant service operations within the main dining outlet.
- Lead, guide, and support waiters and service colleagues during service periods.
- Ensure efficient table setup, guest seating, order taking, and food & beverage delivery.
- Monitor service quality and ensure adherence to hotel standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in managing guest flow to ensure efficient seating and service turnaround times.
- Handle guest feedback, requests, and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service execution.
- Train and support team members to maintain service excellence and product knowledge.
- Ensure the cleanliness, hygiene, and proper setup of the restaurant at all times.
- Support inventory control of operating equipment and service supplies.
- Assist with pre-opening restaurant setup and operational readiness.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience in restaurant service within hotels or high-volume Food & Beverage operations is required.
- Supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food & beverage service standards and etiquette.
- Excellent guest service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Attention to detail and a service excellence mindset.
- Excellent English communication skills.
Work Environment and Requirements
This is a full-time position located in Al Ula. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field. The team leader will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining the operational standards for the main restaurant service during the hotel's opening phase and ongoing operations.
