About the Role

Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Company (YASREF) Ltd. is seeking a Fire Chief II to lead its firefighting and emergency response teams in Yanbu, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves commanding emergency operations, managing day-to-day shift activities, and ensuring meticulous fire protection operations are conducted in full compliance with government regulations.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and command firefighting and emergency response teams during incidents such as fires, toxic spills, gas leaks, and rescue operations.
• Manage daily shift operations, including scheduling and administering duties to ensure continuous operational readiness.
• Conduct risk assessment inspections across YASREF premises to identify hazards and develop comprehensive mitigation plans.
• Inspect buildings for hazardous conditions and fire code violations, ensuring prompt corrective actions are taken.
• Ensure all firefighting equipment, including fire trucks, foam/water carriers, emergency vehicles, and rescue equipment, meets technical specifications and is maintained in optimal condition.
• Inspect facilities that store, handle, and use hazardous materials to ensure compliance with relevant laws, codes, and regulations, issuing permits as appropriate.
• Develop and coordinate fire prevention programs, including false alarm billing, fire inspection reporting, and hazardous materials management.
• Participate in the planning and review of new or remodeled buildings and plant area layouts to ensure adherence to fire safety codes and recommend optimal fire protection systems.
• Conduct internal investigations to determine the cause of fires and assess potential negligence or violations by fire department employees.
• Relay work orders, messages, and critical information to work crews, supervisors, and field inspectors using various communication tools.
• Ensure all government regulations related to fire safety are strictly followed and implemented, providing aid in emergencies under the jurisdiction of outside agencies when required.

Training and Development

• Plan, implement, and evaluate regular training programs for YASREF volunteers and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) to maintain and update knowledge of fire prevention, safety, and firefighting procedures.
• Conduct annual theoretical and practical fire extinguisher training for all YASREF employees.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by coaching, mentoring, and developing colleagues within the department.
• Monitor advancements in firefighting and emergency response technology to ensure techniques, equipment, and training align with industry best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of demonstrated experience in firefighting and emergency response leadership.
• Proven ability to command emergency operations and effectively manage teams.
• Strong understanding of fire safety codes, regulations, and prevention program development.
• Experience in conducting inspections, risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

This full-time position is based at the Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Company (YASREF) Ltd. facilities in Yanbu, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia, operating within a dynamic industrial environment.
