This position plays a crucial role in maintaining our facilities and promoting a culture of wellness and sustainability.
Job Purpose
The HVAC and Refrigerant Technician will provide essential technical repair and maintenance across various areas of the property, including:
- Electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
- Air conditioning and refrigeration units
- General maintenance tasks such as masonry, carpentry, and painting
This role also involves promoting our wellness culture and leading by example to foster a healthy and balanced environment.
General Responsibilities
- Maintain effective communication with all organization levels to ensure excellent service.
- Develop strong relationships with colleagues and guests.
- Promote a collaborative work environment that values teamwork and respect.
- Participate in training and community engagement activities.
- Support the company in exceeding business targets and maintaining high service standards.
Key Operational Responsibilities
- Follow up on planned maintenance programs and conduct periodic inspections.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and maintain cleanliness of work areas.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and fire safety protocols.
- Diagnose and rectify HVAC system faults quickly and accurately.
- Manage hazardous materials safely and report unsafe conditions.
Job Requirements
- Qualifications: Certification from a technical institute is preferred.
- Work Experience: 35 years in HVAC and refrigeration systems maintenance, preferably in hospitality.
- Knowledge: Strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of energy-saving practices, and proficiency in HVAC systems.
- Competencies: Problem-solving, negotiation, communication, and risk management abilities.
- Technical Skills: Mechanic and electronic repair, customer service, and teamwork.
- Attitude: Positive, creative, reliable, and empathetic.
