About the Associate Manager, Distributor Inventory Management Role

Nestlé is seeking an Associate Manager for Distributor Inventory Management to join our team in Makkah, covering the cities of Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and focuses on optimizing inventory levels and customer satisfaction within our distribution network.

Role Overview and Purpose

This role serves as the primary point of contact and advocate for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and Customer Managed Inventory (CMI) customers. The Associate Manager is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of inventory execution, maintaining agreed-upon customer service levels, and driving customer satisfaction. The position involves efficiently managing the end-to-end customer replenishment process, leveraging systems and processes to proactively fulfill customer demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct proactive data analytics on customer behavior trends and identify out-of-stock risks.
  • Utilize advanced planning, forecasting, and replenishment techniques to manage sales and inventory levels at customer distribution centers, incorporating input from Demand & Supply Planning, Sales, Customers, and Service Strategy.
  • Generate optimized replenishment orders within Nestlé or customer VMI/CMI systems, balancing inventory and service goals based on sales history, forecasts, and stock availability.
  • Effectively manage the VMI technical solution, including data maintenance and alignment with Nestlé and customer systems.
  • Develop and maintain inputs for the inventory management system, including network changes, lead times, delivery expectations, and new product introductions.
  • Optimize distribution costs by collaborating with cross-functional partners such as Physical Logistics, Demand and Supply Planning (DSP), Transportation, and Supply Chain Analytics.
  • Professionally engage with customers to resolve stock replenishment issues and concerns, acting as the main point of contact.
  • Ensure timely and accurate information is provided to customers for stock-related activities.
  • Execute strategies from Operational Demand & Supply Review (OpsDSR) to ensure stock allocation aligns with business and customer priorities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A college or university degree is required.
  • 2-5 years of operational experience, preferably in an order fulfillment role within a similar market environment or trade structure.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain End-to-End Processes and Customer Service Best Practices and solutions.

Beneficial Experience

  • Experience working for or with a customer in a collaborative environment.
  • Operational experience in other Supply Chain functions, such as Physical Logistics or Sales support.
  • Experience in related business improvement projects.
  • Good knowledge of Generating Demand, Supply Chain, and Finance processes for pricing.
  • Understanding of Logistics processes, including Materials Handling (*, picking to deliver), transport optimization, and plant and transport route determination.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position located in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, with responsibilities covering the cities of Jeddah and Makkah.
