Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking a Chef De Partie to join its culinary team. This full-time role involves maintaining high standards of desert food preparation and service within the assigned kitchen, adhering to management requirements. The position is based in Jeddah and requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

The hotel features 203 rooms and suites, 17 luxury serviced apartments, and 116 privately owned Burj Assila Residences. Dining options include 4 restaurants and lounges, notably the Shang Palace. The location provides convenient access to Jeddah’s landmarks and the Red Sea Mall.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards for desert food preparation and service in the assigned kitchen.
• Coordinate specific duties for employees under supervision, particularly for restaurant, banquet, and food production.
• Monitor the freshness, presentation, and temperature of all food served.
• Ensure proper control of food portioning, serving requisitions, and receiving from stores.
• Manage correct timing during service to ensure food is consistently of the highest standards.
• Regularly check the quality of prepared food, focusing on taste and temperature.
• Ensure uniform visual appearance of all dishes, with presentation and garnish prepared according to established standards.
• Monitor and implement portion control based on recipe cards and butcher tests to minimize waste and spoilage.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in a similar culinary role.
• Ability to provide high-quality service to customers and employees, reflecting the Shangri-La philosophy.
• Demonstrated positive attitude and ability to maintain high team spirit.
