About the Chief Accountant Role

Utter Consulting is seeking a Chief Accountant to join its team in Jeddah. This full-time position is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial reporting. The Chief Accountant will lead the accounting department, guiding a team and implementing best practices to improve operational efficiency and support the company's growth strategies.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Chief Accountant will oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role involves leading and mentoring a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative environment, and encouraging professional development. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing efficient accounting processes and controls, conducting monthly financial analysis to provide insights for strategic decision-making, and coordinating the annual budget process. The Chief Accountant will also manage tax return preparation, ensure compliance with local tax regulations, and collaborate with external auditors. Effective cash flow monitoring, working capital management, and financial forecasting are also essential aspects of this position. Staying updated on industry trends and accounting regulations is required to adapt practices and maintain compliance.

Key Duties

• Oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess expertise in financial reporting and analysis. Strong leadership skills are required to effectively manage and motivate an accounting team. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems is essential for enhancing efficiency in financial operations. A solid understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements is necessary to minimize financial risks. The role also requires excellent communication skills for conveying complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders, strong analytical thinking abilities to interpret financial data, and meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and adherence to accounting standards. A minimum of 10 years of experience is required.

Compensation and Work Details

This is a full-time position. The salary range for this role is SAR 7,500 to SAR 11,250 per month.
