About the Role

Alawaly Real Estate is seeking a Contracts Specialist to join its team in Makkah and Jeddah. This full-time role involves drafting and formulating various contracts and agreements to which the company is a party, ensuring legal precision and compliance with Saudi laws and regulations related to real estate development activities. The specialist will manage the entire contracting cycle, from drafting to archiving, to safeguard company rights and mitigate contractual risks.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and draft all company contracts and agreements using clear, unambiguous legal language, ensuring compliance with relevant Saudi laws such as the Civil Transactions Law, Companies Law, and Real Estate Authority regulations.
Review third-party contracts to identify non-compliant or high-risk clauses, proposing alternative drafts and preparing necessary addenda, amendments, extensions, or terminations. This includes producing bilingual (Arabic/English) copies with verified content consistency.
Manage contract requests through the approved portal, collaborating with departments to translate operational needs into clear contractual clauses and coordinating with legal reviewers during negotiations.
Monitor internal approval workflows, verify proper execution and signatures from authorized signatories, and collect associated guarantees like bank guarantees and insurance policies.
Oversee electronic and physical contract archiving with systematic indexing, manage and update the contract register, and track expiration dates to notify stakeholders in advance.
Identify related-party contracts for mandatory governance approval and prepare contractual data for disclosures and due diligence, monitoring high-impact contracts or those with exclusivity and non-competition commitments.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Law or Regulations from a recognized university.
A minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of practical experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, or in general legal practice. Experience in real estate development, contracting, or specialized real estate law firms is preferred.
Comprehensive familiarity with Saudi laws and regulations relevant to real estate development activities.
Full proficiency in reading and writing English, with the ability to review and draft legal contracts and correspondence in English, alongside a strong grasp of legal terminology in both Arabic and English.
Proficiency in computer applications, Microsoft Office tools, AI applications, contract management systems, and electronic archiving solutions.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, with operations extending to Jeddah. The role requires coordination with various internal departments and external legal entities within the real estate development sector.
