Tech Pipeline is seeking a Data Reporting Assistant to join our remote team. This full-time, entry-level position, requiring 0-1 years of experience, is based in the Makkah region, serving clients in Jeddah and Makkah. The role focuses on optimizing reporting pipelines for a major infrastructure developer by addressing points where data quality or approval chains falter.

Role Purpose and Context

Our client, a significant infrastructure developer in Jeddah, manages extensive project data across multiple systems. As their operations expand, reporting processes require closer monitoring. You will join our remote team to identify inconsistencies across dashboards and understand the mechanics of data flow from source to final report. This includes learning to diagnose issues such as failed routing rules or reconciliation discrepancies. The fully remote nature of this role emphasizes precise communication and a commitment to analyzing actual logs for problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviewing daily logs to ensure automated reports run successfully and identifying any interruptions.
• Comparing data exports from different systems to find discrepancies.
• Updating existing routing rules in the reporting engine based on new project requirements.
• Documenting the step-by-step logic of report construction to ensure client accessibility.
• Assisting with the cleanup of backlogs where data entry errors have affected project totals.
• Testing new report views to verify accurate reflection of the source of truth in the database.
• Monitoring system alerts and describing recurring errors for the technical lead.
• Joining remote troubleshooting sessions to observe friction points in daily operator tasks.

Required Skills and Attributes

• A solid grasp of Excel or Google Sheets, including pivot tables and lookup functions.
• Basic familiarity with SQL or a strong interest in learning it for data extraction.
• The ability to write clear, concise instructions that can be followed independently.
• Extreme attention to detail, noticing minor numerical discrepancies.
