Field Service Engineer MEAT & CIS

Leica Microsystems, an operating company of Danaher, is seeking a Field Service Engineer MEAT & CIS. This full-time position is based in Jeddah or Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and operates remotely to cover the MEAT & CIS region. The role contributes to advancements in life sciences, diagnostics, and biotechnology through innovative optical and digital solutions.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for ensuring the prompt resolution of complex customer challenges and for sharing functional knowledge with team members. This position plays a key role in contributing to the overall business growth across Life Science, Applied, and Medical segments. The role involves collaborating with team members and the broader organization to identify and implement improvement opportunities, while also acting as a change agent to ensure sustained and effective processes and standard work. This position reports to the Sales Enablement Manager MEAT & CIS and is part of the Service Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance on microscopy systems.
• Work closely with MEAT&CIS Channel Partners, providing support for their training, installation, and repair cases.
• Provide informal guidance to junior team members and offer support in complex situations by proactively sharing knowledge.
• Support business implementation and readiness plans through project planning, management, and the creation of work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Prepare and execute action plans focused on generating service revenue within the MEAT&CIS region.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated technical expertise in the repair, calibration, maintenance, and upgrade of microscopy systems and related equipment.
• Proficiency across a range of products from a single or multiple product groups, with advanced expertise in at least two complex products from a product group.
• Proven ability to network, influence, and communicate effectively across various functions and at all organizational levels.
• Experience in training and/or coaching.
• Preferred Qualifications: Track record of delivering standardization, simplification, and continuous improvement across key business areas.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a matrix organization, including building relationships remotely and cross-culturally.

Travel Requirements

This position requires up to 70% travel.
