About the Role

Galderma, a leader in the dermatology category, is seeking a Key Account Manager to join its team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position will focus on managing relationships with major pharmacy chains in Jeddah and Makkah. The role requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience in account management, specifically within the FMCG, Consumer Health, or Pharmaceutical sectors, with a preference for those with a background in dermatology or skincare.

Key Responsibilities

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans for key pharmacy chains, aligning with Galderma's business and integrated dermatology strategy. This includes building and maintaining strong relationships with customer stakeholders, leading Joint Business Planning (JBP) to identify growth drivers and trade opportunities, and ensuring effective in-store execution across all touchpoints. The role also involves driving growth across online and offline channels, including e-commerce platforms, and optimizing digital visibility and promotional activities.

  • Developing and executing strategic account plans for major pharmacy chains.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customer stakeholders.
  • Leading Joint Business Planning (JBP) with customers.
  • Ensuring best-in-class in-store execution and merchandising.
  • Driving growth across online and offline channels, including e-commerce.
  • Analyzing market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
  • Leading the execution of new product launches within assigned accounts.

Sales and Financial Performance

This role requires delivering volume, value, and profitability targets through effective account management. The Key Account Manager will own forecasting, demand planning, and financial performance for their assigned accounts, including the optimization of trade investments. Monitoring key performance indicators such as sell-in, sell-out, stock levels, and return on investment will be crucial, with the ability to implement corrective actions to maximize performance.

Commercial Excellence and Collaboration

Leading commercial negotiations, including pricing, trade terms, and promotional plans, is a core function. The role demands ensuring competitive positioning while maximizing profitability and return on investment. Close collaboration with internal teams, including marketing, supply chain, finance, and sales, is essential to ensure seamless execution and a unified "One Galderma" approach. This includes leading cross-functional alignment to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates should possess 6-10+ years of experience in Key Account Management within the FMCG, Consumer Health, or Pharmaceutical industries, with dermatology or skincare experience being an advantage. A proven track record of managing major pharmacy chains or modern trade accounts is required. Strong commercial acumen, including experience in negotiations, trade planning, and P&L management, is essential. Experience in e-commerce/omnichannel account management is highly desirable. The role also requires strong analytical skills, excellent stakeholder management, and influencing abilities. Fluency in English is mandatory, and Arabic is a strong advantage. The candidate must be willing to be based in Jeddah, KSA.

Team Leadership and Development

This position includes the responsibility of leading, coaching, and developing a team of Key Account Executives or Sales team members. Setting clear objectives, monitoring performance, and driving a high-performance culture are key aspects of this leadership component. The role requires empowering employees for personal growth while meeting business needs, embracing diversity, and respecting individual rights.
