About Abdul Latif Jameel and the Role

Abdul Latif Jameel (ALJ) - KSA is seeking a National Service Planning GM to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time position is central to providing strategic planning and operational support for the company's BIT aftersales operations. The role involves developing and managing departmental strategy, Hoshin, project plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), digital initiatives, budgets, and incentive schemes to achieve key objectives and KPIs.

Role Purpose and Strategic Context

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure effective management of BIT aftersales operations, aligning with the company's vision and mission. The General Manager will establish a competitive advantage for BIT centers, aiming to deliver a "Best in Town Guest Experience." This involves monitoring progress through periodic Hoshin review sessions and supporting Gemba Leaders in implementing TPS/TBP projects to foster a Kaizen mindset and culture. The role is critical for achieving financial and operational KPIs through efficient monitoring and robust action plan implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, cascade, and monitor the department's Hoshin for BIT aftersales, conducting monthly reviews.
  • Provide project management for all key initiatives, developing and tracking project plans and action plan achievements.
  • Develop the annual budget for BIT aftersales centers, including Sales, COS, OPEX, CAPEX, and manpower plans, ensuring the achievement of all financial KPIs.
  • Manage monthly KPI reports, financial reports, and prepare management presentations to update BIT management on KPIs and initiatives.
  • Mentor Gemba Leaders and frontline staff in developing and implementing TPS/TBP/SGA projects to promote a Kaizen culture.
  • Supervise and support all BIT centers in maintaining their Obeya activities and demonstrating progress to management.
  • Manage incentive and reward schemes to motivate Gemba Staff and unleash their full potential.
  • Host all key visits and events for the BIT aftersales department.
  • Conduct various research and surveys to identify market gaps, opportunities, and guest/internal stakeholder needs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience is required.
  • Advanced knowledge in automotive aftersales business management is essential.
  • Proven ability to support the implementation, sustainability, and rollout of core BIT activities.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing project management for aftersales projects.

Operational Framework and Authority

The National Service Planning GM will have the autonomy to update and develop SOPs at BIT centers. A key responsibility includes ensuring the quality and accuracy of all KPI reports. This role focuses on monitoring all BIT projects and ensuring that key objectives and KPIs are achieved by Gemba Staff in a timely manner, directly contributing to the department's Hoshin.
