About the Senior Officer - Accounting Role

Saudia Cargo is seeking a Senior Officer - Accounting to join their team in Makkah, specifically based in Jeddah. This full-time position requires a professional with 2-5 years of experience to manage key accounting functions related to vendor payments and expense management.

Core Responsibilities

The Senior Officer - Accounting will be instrumental in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization. This involves the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments to vendors and suppliers, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, and managing organizational expenses effectively.

Key Job Accountabilities

• Receive and review vendor and supplier invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely invoice approval and processing.
• Schedule and process vendor payments according to agreed payment terms.
• Prepare payment batches to ensure timely disbursements and maintain positive vendor relationships.
• Maintain up-to-date vendor records, including contact details and payment terms.
• Address vendor inquiries regarding invoice discrepancies and payment status.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and vendor statements for accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations governing accounts payable.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to mitigate fraud and errors.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Prepare and record monthly accruals to ensure accurate expense recognition within the appropriate accounting period.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or an equivalent field.
• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or a similar capacity.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position located in Jeddah, Makkah. The role is integral to the finance operations within Saudia Cargo.
