About the Trade Marketing Manager Role

Basamh Group is seeking a dynamic Trade Marketing Manager to join their team in Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience. The Trade Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing trade marketing strategies to enhance brand performance and customer engagement within retail channels, ensuring alignment with principal strategies and operational efficiency.

Role Context and Responsibilities

The Trade Marketing Manager will play a key role in driving growth and strengthening brand presence. This involves building and maintaining strong relationships with trading model principals, leading coordination efforts, and ensuring performance visibility through regular reviews. A significant part of the role includes leading the Annual Development Plan (ADP) process, defining growth pillars, segmenting KPIs, and translating marketing strategies into actionable plans and execution calendars.

  • Analyze market trends, category performance, and consumer behavior to identify growth opportunities and address challenges.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of key customers across channels and stay informed about market developments and customer expansion plans.
  • Conduct regular store visits and field checks to gather on-ground insights and assess execution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain to align on trade priorities and optimize stock distribution.
  • Lead trade marketing execution by designing and deploying monthly and quarterly initiatives, such as trade deals, displays, POSM, and sellout promotions.
  • Coordinate with merchandising teams to ensure proper execution of planograms and marketing materials at the point of sale.
  • Oversee the successful launch of new products (NPDs) by ensuring cross-functional readiness and tracking launch KPIs.
  • Support IRM forums with inputs on NPD status and provide continuous tracking.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage trade marketing budgets, ensuring timely spend tracking and reconciliation.
  • Validate and approve customer claims and trade spend submissions.
  • Share competitive intelligence, market insights, and risks with senior management.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is considered a plus. The position requires a minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in trade marketing or a similar field. Familiarity with retail and distribution channels, along with a solid understanding of market trends and consumer behavior, is essential.

Required Skills

Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams and external principals. The ability to analyze data, develop strategic plans, and execute initiatives effectively is crucial for this role.
