About the Role

HASCO Group is seeking a skilled Accountant to join its team in Makkah, specifically supporting operations in Jeddah. This full-time position requires a professional with a strong background in accounting, particularly within the freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation sectors.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will manage branch-level accounting and financial operations, applying sound accounting principles. Key duties include:

• Overseeing billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions.
• Managing petty cash and performing reconciliations.
• Working with industry-specific documentation relevant to freight and logistics.
• Coordinating effectively with operations and management teams.
• Preparing accurate and timely financial reports.
• Utilizing MS Excel for reporting, including PivotTables and charts.
• Working with accounting software and ERP systems.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following educational and professional requirements:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce.
• SOCPA Registration.
• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proven hands-on accounting experience within the freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation sectors.

Essential Skills and Competencies

Successful candidates will possess a strong skill set, including:

• Good knowledge of freight cost allocation, multi-currency reconciliations, shipment-level P&L tracking, and revenue recognition.
• Expertise in accounting ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with freight and logistics management processes.
• Strong analytical reasoning and meticulous attention to detail.
• The ability to perform under pressure when handling high-volume transactional data.
• Excellent communication skills.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, with responsibilities primarily focused on supporting operations in Jeddah and Makkah. The role requires independent management of branch-level accounting functions.
