Site Engineer

About the Role

Orient Castle Contracting Company is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Site Engineer to manage and oversee daily site operations across its construction projects in Makkah and Jeddah. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on ensuring strict adherence to engineering specifications, project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, executing, and monitoring daily construction activities.
• Monitor site operations to guarantee compliance with engineering designs, technical specifications, and local building codes.
• Identify technical bottlenecks and collaborate with project leadership to implement effective solutions.
• Review, interpret, and implement engineering drawings, structural plans, and technical documents.
• Provide technical guidance to construction teams and technicians to ensure efficient execution methods.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to address discrepancies and uphold project standards.
• Work directly with the Site Supervisor to coordinate daily workflows, labor, equipment, and materials.
• Supervise, guide, and mentor junior engineers and site technicians.
• Enforce job-site health and safety (HSE) protocols, conducting regular safety meetings and ensuring strict compliance with safety regulations.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, material suppliers, and inspectors to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
• Prepare detailed site progress reports, tracking labor performance, material consumption, and daily activities.
• Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders regarding project progress, resource needs, and potential delays.

Performance in this role will be measured against several key indicators, including:

• Quality Compliance: Minimization of quality control issues, non-conformances, and rework.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a site engineering role within construction projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and oversee daily site operations.
• Strong understanding of engineering specifications, project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in the Makkah region, with project sites located in Jeddah and Makkah. The role involves working closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and subcontractors in a dynamic construction environment.
