Role Purpose and Contribution

The F&B Service Expert takes initiative to provide a comprehensive range of services, ensuring guests thoroughly enjoy their meals. This position is central to making every interaction, including transactions, feel like an integral part of the overall guest experience. The role contributes directly to upholding the high standards of service at Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts by ensuring a professional and engaging atmosphere for all patrons.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting and preparing tables for guest service.
• Communicating effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Interacting directly with guests to serve food and beverages.
• Maintaining cleanliness of work areas and supplies.
• Contributing to the creation and maintenance of a safe workplace environment.
• Adhering to all company policies and operational procedures.
• Upholding established quality standards in all aspects of service.
• Ensuring a professional uniform, personal appearance, and communication style are maintained at all times.

Physical Demands

This role requires physical activity and mobility throughout the shift. F&B Service Experts will be on their feet and moving around, which includes standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and navigating over sloping, uneven, or potentially slippery surfaces. A hands-on approach to work is essential, involving:

• Moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Managing menus by reading and visually verifying information.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or *** equivalent is required.
• 0-1 years of experience in a food and beverage service environment.
