About the Peer Reviewer Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking experienced professionals for a long-term, stable, part-time Peer Reviewer position within Petroleum Engineering. This role offers the flexibility of remote work and requires a commitment to upholding academic integrity and quality standards in scholarly publications.

Core Responsibilities

As a Peer Reviewer, your primary responsibilities will involve the thorough evaluation of submitted manuscripts. This includes:

• Assessing the originality and contribution of the manuscript to the field of Petroleum Engineering.
• Evaluating the appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity of the study design and methodologies to ensure reproducibility.
• Verifying that the manuscript adequately incorporates and cites relevant and current research.
• Analyzing the presentation of results and conclusions, ensuring they are supported by data and are significant to the discipline.
• Providing clear, concise, and constructive feedback to authors, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and potential ethical concerns.
• Recommending a publication decision (accept, revise, or reject) to the journal editor based on your comprehensive evaluation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role must possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate (PhD) or an equivalent advanced degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related field.
• A demonstrated publication record, with at least 5 papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• A thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles relevant to the discipline.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
