About the Role

Fenkai Group Co., Limited is seeking a part-time Peer Reviewer with a background in Transportation Engineering to support long-term, stable remote work. This role requires a high level of academic expertise and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of scholarly publications.

Role Overview

The primary function of this position is to conduct thorough peer reviews of manuscripts submitted for publication. This involves critically evaluating research for originality, methodological soundness, and contribution to the field of Transportation Engineering. The reviewer will provide constructive feedback to authors and editors to ensure the quality and validity of published research.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess the originality and novelty of submitted manuscripts, determining their contribution to the field.
• Evaluate the appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity of study designs and methodologies to ensure reproducibility.
• Verify that the manuscript thoroughly incorporates and cites relevant, up-to-date literature.
• Analyze the presentation of results and conclusions, ensuring they are clearly supported by the data and are significant to the field.
• Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback to authors and editors, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and potential ethical concerns.
• Make recommendations regarding manuscript acceptance, revision, or rejection based on the evaluation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in Transportation Engineering or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• A publication record of at least 5 papers in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Demonstrated thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles in the discipline.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
