About the Peer Review Opportunity

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking qualified individuals for a long-term, stable part-time role as a Peer Reviewer. This position offers the flexibility of remote work.

Role Overview

As a Peer Reviewer, you will be responsible for evaluating academic manuscripts submitted for publication. Your assessment will contribute to maintaining the quality and integrity of scholarly work within the field of Software Engineering. This role requires a commitment to objectivity and timely feedback.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess the novelty and originality of submitted manuscripts, determining if they contribute new knowledge to the field.
• Evaluate the appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity of study designs and methodologies to ensure reproducibility.
• Verify that manuscripts thoroughly incorporate and cite relevant, up-to-date research.
• Analyze the presentation of results and conclusions, ensuring they are clearly supported by the data and are significant to the field.
• Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback, highlighting any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
• Make recommendations regarding manuscript publication status (accept, revise, or reject) to the journal editor.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• A record of publishing at least 5 papers in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
