About the Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking a part-time PHD Peer Reviewer for Mining Engineering to support its operations in Saudi Arabia. This is a long-term, stable position that offers remote work flexibility.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough peer reviews of academic manuscripts within the field of Mining Engineering. This role requires a deep understanding of research methodologies and a commitment to maintaining the integrity and quality of published work. The position is part-time and conducted remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the originality and novelty of submitted manuscripts, assessing their contribution to the field of study.
• Critically assess the appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity of study designs and methodologies to ensure reproducibility.
• Verify that manuscripts adequately incorporate and cite relevant and up-to-date research literature.
• Analyze the presentation of results and conclusions, ensuring they are clear, data-supported, and significant to the field.
• Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback to authors, highlighting any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
• Make recommendations to the journal editor regarding manuscript acceptance, revision, or rejection based on the evaluation.

Required Qualifications

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• A strong publication record, with at least 5 papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles within the relevant discipline.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
