About the Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking a part-time professional for a remote role in Saudi Arabia. This is a long-term, stable position focused on the automation and control systems domain.

Role Overview

The primary function of this role is to provide expert peer review for academic manuscripts. This involves critically evaluating research to ensure its quality, originality, and adherence to academic standards. The work supports the publication process by offering detailed assessments and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the novelty and originality of submitted manuscripts, assessing their contribution to the field of study.
• Assess the appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity of study designs and methodologies to ensure reproducibility.
• Verify that the manuscript thoroughly incorporates and cites relevant, up-to-date research.
• Analyze the presentation of results and conclusions, ensuring they are clear, data-supported, and significant.
• Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback, highlighting any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
• Make recommendations regarding manuscript publication status (acceptance, revision, or rejection) to the journal editor.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant field.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the field.
• At least 5 published papers in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles within the relevant discipline.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
