About the Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking a qualified individual for a long-term, stable part-time position supporting remote work. This role requires a strong academic background and experience in peer review within the scientific community. The position is based in Saudi Arabia.

Role Overview

The primary function of this role is to provide expert peer review for academic manuscripts. This involves a thorough evaluation of submitted research to ensure its quality, originality, and adherence to academic standards. The feedback provided will assist editors in making publication decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the originality and novelty of submitted manuscripts, assessing their contribution to the field.
• Critically assess the study design and methodology for appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity to ensure reproducibility.
• Verify that the manuscript adequately incorporates and cites relevant, up-to-date literature.
• Analyze the presentation of results and conclusions, ensuring they are clearly supported by the data and are significant to the field.
• Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback to authors and editors, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, omissions, and ethical concerns.
• Make recommendations regarding manuscript publication status (acceptance, revision, or rejection) based on the evaluation.

Required Qualifications

• A Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in the relevant subject area.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience.
• Publication record of at least 5 papers in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles within the relevant discipline.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback.
• Ability to adhere to deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and objectivity.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems is advantageous.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
