About the Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking a qualified individual for a part-time, long-term remote position as a Peer Reviewer specializing in Thermodynamics. This role requires a high level of academic expertise and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of scholarly publications. The position is based in Saudi Arabia.

Role Overview

The Peer Reviewer will be responsible for critically evaluating academic manuscripts submitted for publication. This involves assessing the scientific merit, originality, and methodological soundness of research papers within the field of Thermodynamics. The reviewer's feedback is crucial in guiding editorial decisions and ensuring the quality of published research.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess Novelty: Evaluate whether the manuscript presents original research that contributes new knowledge or insights to the field of Thermodynamics.
• Evaluate Study Design and Methodology: Examine the appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity of the research design and methods to ensure reproducibility.
• Literature Review: Verify that the manuscript adequately incorporates and cites relevant, up-to-date research within the discipline.
• Analyse Results and Conclusions: Determine if results are presented clearly and appropriately, and if conclusions are well-supported by the data and are significant to the field.
• Provide Constructive Feedback: Offer clear, concise, and actionable suggestions for improvement, and identify any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
• Recommend Publication Status: Provide an informed recommendation to the journal editor regarding the manuscript's suitability for acceptance, revision, or rejection.

Qualifications and Experience

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in Thermodynamics or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated publication record, with at least 5 papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles relevant to the discipline.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems is beneficial.
