About the Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking a part-time Peer Reviewer with a specialization in Virology to support their operations in Saudi Arabia. This is a long-term, stable position that offers remote work flexibility.

Role Overview

The Peer Reviewer will be responsible for critically evaluating scientific manuscripts submitted for publication. This involves assessing the originality, methodology, analysis, and conclusions presented in the research, ensuring adherence to scientific and ethical standards. The role requires a strong understanding of the virology field and the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to authors and editors.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the novelty and originality of submitted manuscripts, determining their contribution to the field of study.
• Assess the appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity of the study design and methodologies employed.
• Ensure that the manuscript thoroughly incorporates and cites relevant, up-to-date research literature.
• Analyze the presentation of results and conclusions, verifying that they are clearly stated and supported by the data.
• Provide constructive feedback to authors, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, potential improvements, and any ethical concerns.
• Make recommendations to the journal editor regarding the publication status of the manuscript (*, accept, revise, reject).

Required Qualifications

• A Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in Virology or a closely related field.
• A publication record of at least 5 papers in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• A thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles within the discipline.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
