About the Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking a part-time PhD Peer Reviewer for toxicology to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This is a long-term, stable position that supports remote work, offering an opportunity to contribute to the scientific review process.

Role Overview

The primary function of this role is to critically evaluate scientific manuscripts submitted for publication. This involves assessing the originality, methodological rigor, and scientific validity of research within the field of toxicology. The reviewer will provide constructive feedback to authors and editors, contributing to the integrity and advancement of scientific literature.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the originality and novelty of submitted manuscripts, determining their contribution to the field.
• Assess the appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity of study designs and methodologies to ensure reproducibility.
• Verify that the manuscript thoroughly incorporates and cites relevant, up-to-date research.
• Analyze the presentation of results and conclusions, ensuring they are clearly supported by the data and are significant to the field.
• Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback to authors, highlighting any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
• Make recommendations regarding manuscript publication status to the journal editor.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• A strong publication record, with at least 5 papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Prior experience serving as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
