About Wood and the Opportunity

Wood is currently seeking a PMC Principal Site Electrical Engineer to join our team. This full-time position is dedicated to supporting one of our significant projects located in Saudi Arabia, contributing specialized electrical engineering expertise within a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) framework.

Role Purpose

The Principal Site Electrical Engineer will function as a recognized specialist in electrical engineering, primarily focused on large to mega projects within the oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries. This role is central to ensuring the accurate implementation of design specifications and resolving complex engineering challenges on-site.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate with project discipline and lead engineers to ensure the correct implementation of electrical designs.
Manage and coordinate the work of other engineers within the electrical specialty.
Prepare and review engineering studies, design drawings, and technical documents.
Develop and review material and equipment specifications.
Resolve specialty-related engineering issues by applying accepted principles, industry codes, and international standards.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 15 years of overall experience in the engineering field.
Minimum of 10 years of PMC (Project Management Consultancy) experience.
Demonstrated experience working on Aramco projects.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

Thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles.
Proficiency in various calculation methods and design details.
Comprehensive understanding of international codes and standards relevant to electrical engineering.
Familiarity with established engineering procedures and specifications.
