About the Role

WSP in the Middle East is seeking an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager with a focus on Infrastructure to lead the delivery of large-scale, complex masterplan projects in Medina, Saudi Arabia. This client-facing role requires strong stakeholder engagement and is suited for individuals with extensive multidisciplinary leadership experience in managing large-scale infrastructure developments from concept through detailed design and execution.

Project Leadership and Delivery

The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of major infrastructure and land development projects in Medina. Key responsibilities include managing project scope, program, budgets, and quality to ensure successful outcomes. This involves overseeing and coordinating multidisciplinary teams across highways, utilities, structures, transport planning, and environmental functions, ensuring all deliverables meet local authority requirements and international standards.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement

This role requires acting as the primary point of contact for clients, providing strategic advice, and maintaining robust relationships. The Project Manager will represent the consultancy in client meetings, presentations, and technical discussions, and will manage communication with government authorities and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Commercial and Operational Oversight

Responsibilities include monitoring and controlling project financial performance, encompassing budget management, forecasting, and resource planning. The role also involves supporting bid preparation, technical proposals, and commercial submissions, as well as identifying and mitigating project risks to ensure proactive issue resolution.

Team Management and Coordination

The Project Manager will lead, mentor, and motivate project teams to ensure high performance and delivery excellence. This includes driving effective coordination between disciplines, resolving technical and interface challenges, and promoting best practices, collaboration, and continuous improvement across project teams.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with a Master’s degree being preferred. A minimum of 15+ years of overall experience in infrastructure project delivery within an engineering consultancy is required. Proven experience working with leading international engineering consultancies is essential, along with extensive involvement in large-scale infrastructure and land development projects, preferably within Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC. Fluency in both Arabic and English is mandatory for this role.
