About the Public Health Specialist Role

Core Responsibilities

The Public Health Specialist will be responsible for a range of critical public health functions. • Overseeing workers in the food and beverage industry and ensuring compliance with health certificate requirements.
• Monitoring the safety of drinking water, including sample collection for analysis, investigating contamination, enforcing legal measures, and overseeing purification devices.
• Ensuring the safety of food and beverages at production and sale points, including sample collection to detect spoilage and monitoring the health of food handlers.
• Developing and updating work methods and procedures to align with public health advancements.
• Preparing and maintaining organized medical documents and reports related to public health activities.
• Ensuring the application of general safety principles during all public health operations.
