About the Opportunity

Wood is seeking a Safety Supervisor - HSE to join its team in a full-time capacity. This role is specifically for Project Management Consultancy (PMC) within the oil and gas, hydrocarbon refinery, and petrochemical industries, requiring specialized experience in engineering design projects. The position is open to professionals with a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the effective implementation and continuous improvement of established Safety Programs.
  • Conduct safety compliance audits in alignment with the Saudi Aramco Contractor Safety Administrative Requirements and the Construction Safety Manual.
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and follow up on corrective action procedures to address safety deficiencies and improve compliance.
  • Perform accident/incident investigations, utilizing established methodologies such as Helix/Taproot.
  • Demonstrate involvement in construction safety activities for large-scale projects.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical, industry, or HSEQ-specific discipline.
  • Possession of an internationally recognized professional safety certification (*, CSP, CMIOSH).
  • Proven experience in construction safety activities on large-scale projects.
  • Relevant experience in the oil & gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, onshore, offshore, or infrastructure industries.
  • Experience conducting safety compliance audits and ensuring adherence to safety program requirements in accordance with the Saudi Aramco Contractor Safety Administrative Requirements and Construction Safety Manual.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Thorough knowledge of international safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Strong understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, incident prevention, and safety management systems.
  • Trained and competent Internal Auditor.
  • Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and accident/incident investigation.
